The headline of the Mizuno Nexlite GS BOA Spikeless golf shoes is their lightweight. Each shoe weighs just 235g (8.3oz) and feels weightless on the golf course. Very few of the best spikeless golf shoes come close to the Mizuno in terms of weight.
They’re made on the same platform as the Mizuno Wave Nexlite 008 BOA golf shoe, but with a synthetic leather upper rather than a mesh.
Just because these shoes are light, doesn’t mean they’re not sturdy and practical. The Kuraray synthetic upper works with the BOA lace-up system to really keep your foot in place and locked throughout the golf swing.
Another feature to note is the excellent X10 rubber outsole. Although this is a spikeless shoe, we found it to provide excellent grip even in wet conditions. This, combined with the fully waterproof upper means this shoe can really be used all year round. The combination of a fully waterproof and synthetic leather upper means these fall slightly when it comes to one of the most breathable golf shoes.
The all-white version can be a bit difficult to clean if you wear them all year round, but these shoes are easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
For us, the styling leaves a little to be desired. While the BOA aesthetic is someone people either like or dislike, we think the overall styling is a bit simple in either of the two colourways available.
For sheer weightlessness, these shoes excel like no other we’ve tested. If your feet or legs often hurt after a round of golf, we strongly recommend that you try one of the best lightweight golf shoes on the market.
